Briley's Pumpkin Patch Adventure

Today we went to Briley's Farm with a bunch of our friends.  It is tradition that we get together and visit this farm each year.  Little Tommy always has the BEST time!  We started off the day visiting all the animals on the farm. (Goats, pigs, rabbits, llamas, donkies, chickens, cows....) Tommy got to feed all the animals he wanted. Then he went on a Pony ride with his best friend, Daddy, by his side! Mickey the Pony was a good boy for Tommy! He smiled the entire time! We then went on a hay ride to pick pumpkins! Tommy got to pick a small and a large pumpkin. Of course he didn't stop until he found the "perfect" ones! After all of these big adventures, we visited the last place on the farm; the Kiddie Corale. Tommy was able to jump in the boucey houses and Pirate ship, ride the tractors around a hay maze, and ride on a mini cow tractor pull!  Needless to say we are pooped!  Today was SO much fun and the perfect family and friend time! Enjoy our pictures!

Our Day at the Winery!

Tommy and I took Julianne and T to his mom and her husband John's house so we could partake on a FUN day at Duplin Winery! This was our first full day together alone without kids in a LONG time! We started out the day with a tour of the plant, where the wine is made and stored. It smelled so deliciously filled with muscadines! We then went to the actual Winery.  We arrived a little early because of some miscommunication....well this ended up being the BEST thing that could have happened!  One of the owners took us on a tour bus and gave us his personal tour of the vineyards.  We started THAT part of the tour with an upclose look at how the grapes are picked.  We got to pick a few ourselves and get a sneak peek into why the wines taste so gooooood!
After the grape picking it was time for some stomping! Tommy and I got to practice a little grape stomping before the real competition would begin later that night.  It was a race to see who could fill their mason jar the quickest!  I TOTALLY WON, BUT TOMMY CHEATED!!!!!  :) Ha ha!  At the very end he took an extra 5 seconds pretending he didn't know time was up!  BUT that is okay!  I know who REALLY won!   It was so much fun!  I think I woke up the next morning with a few grape seeds STILL stuck to my feet!  We looked like an old I Love Lucy episode!
Later in the morning we headed back to the Winery to eat lunch at the Bistro!  This was delish, and was followed by the actual wine tasting!  I never realized I liked so many different wines, or that Tommy would like so many!  We only walked away with 2 bottles to enjoy on occasion, but plan on joining the club for more tastes at a later date! Needless to say we walked away from the winery that night with huge smiles and a few giggles!  :) We ended the night with the REAL competition of grape stomping.  We didn't win, but we looked great trying! This was an amazing day!  We had so much fun together!  It was fun acting like we were college students again!  HOWEVER, it felt so good to get back to Annie's and see my babies!  Even after such a fun filled day, I felt like something was missing....snuggles from the two cutest babes in the world!
.......We plan on another visit very soon!  Hopefully our next trip we will carry a few friends with us.  Wanna join?!

Welcome to our life!

Get to know what makes us smile throughout the day!

Tommy and I have been married since July of 2003.  We had Thomas Patrick Jr. "T", April 12th, 2006 and Julianne Elizabeth February 23rd, 2010.  Our two babies have helped to define who we are as a couple, and who we want to be as a family forever! We live just outside of Greenville, NC in a small town called Winterville.  Growing up in Greenville myself, I am VERY happy to call this HOME!

Please keep up with us as we venture to "Bringing up Stanfields"!  I'm sure we will make mistakes along the way, but who doesn't? We love our life...all the things that make us laugh in embarrassment, excitement, and love!

We'll be seeing you!
Jamie, Tommy, T, and Julianne
